Katie Allman – Ashland, OH
Katie enjoys the excitement of incorporating fibers of any sort in her creations. As a certified McGown instructor, Katie teaches in many camps and guilds. From fun, bright colors to primitive palettes Katie will help you create something special. Schooled in all cuts, she prefers wide cuts, art yarns, hand-torn wools and materials that create an uneven pile.
Donna Hrkman – Dayton, OH
Artist and designer, Donna has created hooked rugs for more than 10 years and teaches rug hooking across the country. She has written articles for Rug Hooking Magazine, appeared in Celebrations and won numerous awards for her Awareness Rugs. Her specialties include portraits and animals.
Diane Stoffel – Brewster, MA
Teaching rug hooking since 1980, Diane is a certified McGown teacher. She loves all aspects of teaching and will teach an open class. Color is an important part of rug making and she will go in depth on color and color planning.
Pris and Christy have one other wonderful feature to their camp, Kindred Spirits, the camp store. The store will have a full compliment of rug hooking items from wools to tools for your choosing.
As their camp progresses over the next few years, Pris and Christy hope the number of teachers will increase as well. They hope to make your learning experience at Black Bear Rug Camp an event you would like to attend year after year.
